The Powerful Secret of Success

Throughout history, the great wise teachers, philosophers, and prophets have had their differences on one another on many different subjects. But there is one subject, that everyone seems to be in complete agreement with, and here it is.
“The mind is everything. What you think, you become.”
-Buddha
“A man is what he thinks about all day long.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
“What the mind of a man can conceive and believe, it can achieve”
-Napoleon Hill
“We can change our lives. We can do, have, and be exactly what we wish.”
-Tony Robbins
In the Bible you will read in Mark 9-23: “If thou canst believe, all things are posssible to him that believeth.”
If that didn’t catch your attention, listen to this.

Dr. Henry Beecher from Harvard University, was a well known Medical doctor in the late 1950’s receiving honors and awards during his career famously known for his discovery of the “Placebo effect”. One case became another groundbreaking experiment, that not many people knew about.

Dr. Beecher gathered 100 medical students to take part in testing out two new drugs. One group of students were described to have a high-stimulant drug in a red capsule, and the other as a high-tranquilizer in a blue capsule.
What the students didn’t know, was that the drugs contained in the capsule, were switched. Now the Red Capsule contained the barbiturate, and the blue capsule was contained with amphetamine. Surprising to Dr. Beecher, half of the students developed physical reactions that was congruent with what the students believed contained in the capsules! These weren’t the regular placebos that the student’s ingested, but the actual inducing drugs! But the students beliefs were so strong, that it overrode the chemical impact of the drug in their bodies!
As Dr. Beech later stated, a drug’s usefulness “is a direct result of not only the chemical properties of the drug, but also the patient’s belief in the usefulness and effectiveness of the drug”
It show’s us that the thought and the power of your mind, becomes a catalyst for your prosperity!
I hear pessimists say things like “I can’t become a good singer because so and so” or “I can’t start losing weight because of stuff and stuff” and if you happen to be those individuals, I’m going to be frank with you for a moment and tell you as your fellow brethren of the human race,
YOU’RE RIGHT! YOU WONT BECOME ANY OF THEM!
BECAUSE YOU WONT EVEN GIVE YOURSELF THE CHANCE TO DO THOSE THINGS! EVEN IF I GIVE YOU THE CHANCE RIGHT NOW TO GO ON STAGE, OR FIND SOMEONE THAT CAN HELP YOU REACH YOUR GOALS, YOU’LL STILL GIVE YOURSELF ALL THE REASONS WHY YOU CAN’T DO THEM! INSTEAD, GIVE YOURSELF ALL THE REASONS WHY YOU CAN DO THOSE THINGS, and I’ll tell you right now, you will become a success in all of your endeavors if you believe that things can change, and things can go your way.
As the man who was the greatest heavyweight professional boxer in sports history nicknamed “The Greatest” once said:
“It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.”
-Muhammad Ali
So I leave you with this question,
Will you believe in yourself?

The Easy Way to Discover Your Passion Work

As we grow older and enter the age of adulthood and responsibilities, we realize that we need a job so we may support ourselves in our bright future. Some where along the line, we all get to the point where we start to seriously ask ourselves, “What type of work/career do I want?”.
For some, we may follow the route of what makes us happy or try and find the highest paying job with little to no work at all so we can do what truly makes us happy. Whatever category you may think you’re in, first off let me begin by asking you “Are you happy with the work that you’re in? Or you haven’t the faintest idea of what you would actually like to do?”

My dear friend. You’ve come to the right place, and I’ll share my experiences along with some famous men/women on how they were able to find their passion with 3 short stories.

1. Feeding the Hungry
A boy at the age of 11 was living in poverty with his family. They found themselves with no food on Thanksgiving and to this little boy’s astonishment, a stranger knocks on his door and gave him groceries for his family to eat. At that moment, the boy named Tony Robbins decided that he would help feed the hungry. Each Thanksgiving, him and his friends would volunteer to help anyone who’s hungry. And every year, the amount of food and volunteer workers doubled, and kept multiplying more than 10x over! Now he runs a charity program called “Anthony Robbins Foundation” and gives away millions of meals to help feed the hunger across the nation!

“Only those who have learned the power of sincere and selfless contribution experience life’s deepest joy: true fulfillment.”
-Tony Robbins

2. Thank goodness no dentures
I had recently visited a dentist to get my wisdom tooth pulled out. As I looked around the operating room, I noticed many awards hung on the wall as I normally see in any office. As I conversed with the doctor, I popped the question “What made you decide to become a dentist?”. He began telling me his story about his skiing accident where he hit face flat on a rail which caused his bottom front teeth to chip and fall out. He went to go see a dentist as soon as possible and the doctor gave him fake teeth to be replaced. And to his amazement, it looked exactly like the way it was before! So he decided then and there that he would work towards becoming a great dentist!
3. Diamond in the rough
Growing older, I became more fond of books towards Personal Development and Psychology, for they feel like water to me. An essential part of life. As time went on, the people I met started telling me some where along the lines of “you have a way with words I can truly connect with” on the subject of life. At first, I paid no attention to it what so ever, but as time went on with hearing it more often, it dawned on me, that I really enjoy talking about Life in a way that promotes a better life style for the other individuals! So I made it my life’s mission to invoke inspiration and empowerment through positive influence to others!

Did you catch it?
Each story had an emotion that was connected with a personal event that had an impact on an individual’s life. Whether it’d be through starvation, skiing accident, or others helping it find it for you! But most important of all…
They all DECIDED that that’s what they’re going to be and began moving towards that goal! If you don’t decide what it is that you’re going to be and how you’re going to do it, nothing will ever happen!

“There’s a redemptive power that making a choice has rather than feeling like you’re an effect to all the things that are happening. Make a choice. Just decide what it’s gonna be, who you’re gonna be, how you are going to do it. Just decide. And from that point, the universe will get out of your way.”
-Will Smith

Now decide. What would you like to be? Start moving towards it and your life will never be the same again.

Discovering New Ways Towards New Life

First off, thank you so much for reading.

Although I may not know your name, know the color of your eyes, or what you’ve been going through within the last few years, but we still share the same board game you and I, which we call “The Game of Life”.
A typical game will keep rolling towards its end which we will find players who consists of winners and losers. But the only difference in the game we’re playing is that the game, will never end.

After we pass on, our torch may be carried on by our children, the neighbors that we’ve given a warm welcome to within the community, or the inspired student that took a powerful interest towards the idea or plan that we’ve left with a mark on this world saying “I was here”.
Although this game doesn’t have an end, unfortunately, some players have already lost because, we will only lose, when we throw in the towel.

Did you already throw in the towel?
Or maybe you’re a player that’s already winning!
Well then one might ask, “How do we know if we’re winning or losing?”

As Earl Nightingale a late speaker/author had once said
“The only person who succeeds is the person who is progressively realizing a worthy ideal. It is the person who says, “I am going to become this,” and then begins to work towards that goal.”
Do you have a burning desire to become a famous singer? A great poet? Or a beautiful artist? Whatever your passion maybe, are you working towards that goal?
Or maybe you are like me who’s still trying to find ourselves in the world and see which pants fits us best.
I have dropped a lot of goals on many things, many times. Because as we grow older, our philosophies on life changes, and we start to realize what truly matters in life, but never falter.
But for those of us who are in the stages of giving up, or have already given up, you’re not alone. There has been many accounts in history where great men have had hesitations on their worthy goals and ideas, but they went on to make it their reality and became great men we know today.
“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great”
-Zig Ziglar
It’s never too late to pick up where you’ve left off because then,
The game has only started.

-p.s. Thank you for reading my first blog, I would be delighted to read any feed backs or comments you have because small or big, they strive to make me keep on going, thank you :)
